My name is now on the inside cover of a very large magazine.
It says “Sub-editors”, and then my name appears next to it, with my mentor’s name right beside mine.
I couldn’t be more proud of this achievement, and would even go so far as to say that it’s my biggest achievement yet.
My boyfriend told me he was proud of me. It was at that moment that I realised that neither my mum or dad had said anything when I had shown them. They remained quiet and continued watching their show. I waved it in front of them, squealing whilst pointing at my name. They said “Oh. That’s nice”, and continued to sit.
In fact, my mum didn’t even say anything.
I have done so much to get to this point, and I have worked so hard. I just wish my parents would be proud of me.
So…I got an internship at Cosmopolitan Magazine Australia!
Basically THE biggest magazine in Australia, which is amazing :)
I have about 7 months left of university, meaning that this could be the stepping stone I need to get myself a job in the company! Graduate job, anyone?
Anyway, posted it on Facebook, had about 80 likes within 2 hours. Now up to 100 likes, with loads of supportive comments. I’ve wanted this for SO long, and I’m just so happy to be given this opportunity!
So yeah. Is awesome, and am very, very happy :D :D
